Preparing for the winter: composting, final harvest and winter cover crops at the 811X outdoor garden. Also, the 811X Farmers Market is up and running every Thursday. Stop by and pick up some winter vegetables and herbs!

As part of the award the school won, the New York Restoration Project built this shady spot for the 721K garden. Now student gardeners can take a break when the sun gets too hot.

The Brooklyn Botanic Gardens hosted our PLG workshop last month. We explored the new Discovery Gardens as well as the Native Flora Garden, which is 100% pure New York City flora. Some of us had to dodge Black Walnut pods that started raining down!IMG_3595
