New York Botanical Garden
Located in the Bronx, the NYBG provides professional development, field trips, lesson plans, and many other resources. The NYBG has seasonal events and special exhibits that are well worth the trip.

Brooklyn Botanic Garden
Located right next to Prospect Park, the BBG offers free self-guided field trips and guided tours, professional development, and other educational programs.

Queens Botanical Garden
Free garden in Flushing Queens, connected tangentially to the Queens Museum and World’s Fair.

Wave Hill
Located in the Riverdale section of the Bronx, this lovely space overlooks the Hudson River and provides unparalleled views of the Pallisades of New Jersey.

The Horticulture Society of New York
The Horticulture Society of NY is located in Manhattan and is open to the public. They have have various resources for teachers such as: professional development; resources on New York’s water cycle; learning gardens and more.
