We can’t seem to keep these chickens out of the news! Congrats to the 754X Garden Club for being featured in Edible Bronx. That would make them the second D75 school to be featured this year! (P 811X was featured back in September for their healthy eating initiatives. Check out their article here.)

Look what’s squawking at 754X in the Bronx!

Enjoying the beauty of small, medium, and large flowers can be very “graph-tifying. (get it? “graph” and “gratifying?”) From our “Math and Nature Connections” professional development event at the New York Botanical Gardens in the Bronx.

754X has hatched a brilliant idea: City Fresh Eggs from the Bronx. The students collect, clean, and package the eggs laid by the school chickens. Here is the final product!

Here are some photos from the 373K garden. You can see the new greenhouse being constructed and some beds being prepared for spring planting. Some plants from last year have already come back up, including everybody’s favorite– strawberries!
