The latest update from Sharon S:

I am excited to share a quick update from our horticulture class. Over the past few weeks, our students have been growing different kinds of herbs and other greens, including cilantro, in our classroom garden. Today our cilantro was finally ready for snipping, and we used it to make fresh pico de gallo.

We also made tortilla chips using tortillas. The students loved the activity and were highly engaged. Each student had a specific role at their assigned station (such as chopper, mixer, measurer, and cleaner) , and they worked together to complete each step of the recipe.

I’ve attached some photos that highlight their participation, teamwork, and enthusiasm during today’s lesson.

It was great seeing everyone at the workshop today! Can’t wait to see what you grow!

721X trimmed the roots and transplanted our “crop” to a new tower with fresh nutrient water. We’re planning on planting a new tower with mint, and one with flowers, which would be a new concept for us.

Thank you, Jeremy, for the update.
